The Mt. Pleasant Hotel Brazelton is a historic insitution. The first hotel west of the Mississippi River was named the Brazleton and was in Mount Pleasant. That hotel was built in 1856. While the former Brazelton isn't a hotel any longer its name and the great service it was know for is carried on by the new Hotel Brazelton.
